Global Olympiad Center (GOC) Awards Ceremony 

     Juneyd Ganbarov was awarded the Diamond Scholarship among a competitive pool of 12,938 students who participated in international olympiads and academic competitions throughout the year 2025.  

Global Olympiad Center (GOC) Awards Ceremony The awards ceremony for the winners of international Olympiads and competitions organized by the Global Olympiad Center (GOC) was held with great enthusiasm on November 29 at the European Azerbaijan School. According to reports by Azərbaycan müəllimi, students who participated in various Olympiads and competitions demonstrated their knowledge and skills, achieved outstanding results, and earned medals. The event was opened by the Director of the Global Olympiad Center, Khayal Ibrahimzade, who welcomed the participants and shared his heartfelt congratulations with the medal-winning students. In his speech, he emphasized that international Olympiads and competitions play a significant role in improving the quality of education, shaping students’ scientific worldview, and strengthening the country’s representation in the international academic arena. 

During the ceremony, students who achieved high results in prestigious competitions such as WMTC, FMO, Copernicus Science, Physics & Astronomy, Brainiacs, and USA Olympiad were awarded gold, silver, and bronze medals at the national level. Special prizes were also presented to outstanding Olympiad winners. The ceremony attracted particular attention and was attended by several distinguished guests, who warmly congratulated the medal-winning students and highly appreciated their achievements. The guests highlighted the importance of international academic success, its impact on students’ future development, and the valuable work carried out by GOC in supporting young talents. During the event, students who were awarded scholarships for the 2024–2025 academic year were also honored. For the first time, the Global Olympiad Center established a special scholarship program for talented students who demonstrate outstanding results and strong international Olympiad potential. This initiative aims not only to support their personal development but also to contribute to building the intellectual future of the country. 


Heydar Aliyev “Diamond Scholarship” The highest distinction within this scholarship program is the Diamond Scholarship, named after Azerbaijan’s National Leader, Heydar Aliyev. This scholarship is awarded to a student who demonstrates not only outstanding academic performance but also strategic thinking, consistent excellence, and leadership qualities. Winner: Juneyd Ganbarov — recognized not only for achieving outstanding results but also for representing his school and country on the international stage. 


Polad Hashimov “Victory Gold Scholarship” Named after National Hero Polad Hashimov, this scholarship is awarded to students who move forward with determination on the path of science and perseverance, achieving high results despite challenges. It symbolizes that victory is possible not only on the battlefield but also in the fields of education and intellect. Winners: Cemil Gasimov, Suel Demirzade — both students consistently demonstrated strong results in international competitions and successfully revealed their potential. 


Lotfi Zadeh “Silver Scholarship” Associated with the world-renowned Azerbaijani scientist Lotfi Zadeh, this scholarship is awarded to students distinguished by deep interest in science, strong analytical thinking, and creative potential. Recipients of the Silver Scholarship build a solid foundation for scientific development through continuous self-improvement and dedication. Winners: Murad Racabov, Yusif Hasanzade, Said Mammadov — each achieved success across various competitions and fields, earning this recognition. 


Tusi “Bronze Scholarship” Named after the brilliant medieval scientist, mathematician, and astronomer Nasir al-Din Tusi, this scholarship is awarded to students with strong potential who are expected to achieve even greater success in the future. The Bronze Scholarship values not only results but also effort, commitment, and sincerity in personal growth. Winners: Daria Dmitriyeva, Ilkin Qurbanzade, Farhad Osmanov, Cavidan Mahmudzade — these students, through perseverance and continuous participation, demonstrate strong potential to become future scientists and intellectual leaders.
